Special Olympics Hawaii Athletes Make a Splash at the 53rd Annual State Summer Games


Last weekend, June 10-11, hundreds of Special Olympics Hawaii athletes from across the state gathered to compete in powerlifting, softball, track and field, and swimming at this year’s 53rd Annual State Summer Games. The competition continues through tomorrow, June 11 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and at the Henry J. Kaiser High School Cougar Stadium.
Special Olympics Hawaii athletes have been preparing since February to compete in the three-day competition. Special Olympics Hawaii’s Summer Games have been held since 1968.
