‘Tis the Season to Shop Local at Keep it Kaimuki Saturday

Mark your calen-deer for the free, family- and pet-friendly event which makes its return Saturday, November 25 at Aliʻiolani Elementary School and throughout the Kaimuki business district

Sleigh what?! Keep it Kaimuki Saturday returns for its seventh year on Saturday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free, family- and pet-friendly event will offer shoppers exclusive discounts and promotions at over 40 participating Kaimuki businesses. Shoppers can get into the holiday spirit with free trolley rides throughout Kaimuki, complimentary holiday activities and photo opportunities and live entertainment at Aliʻiolani Elementary School.

From up to 25 percent off at Sugarcane, to 20 percent off storewide at The Public Pet, shoppers can support local businesses while crossing all the names off their holiday gift list. For a full list and map to this year’s participating businesses, visit

Some highlights that shoppers (and their furry friends!) can look forward to this year at Aliʻiolani Elementary School and throughout Kaimuki include:

  • An outdoor market featuring many of your favorite local food and retail vendors
  • Family-friendly activities including a petting zoo and larger-than-life snow globe photo opportunity
  • Keiki bike activities and educational workshops
  • Free self-parking and bike valet services at Sacred Hearts Academy 
  • Complimentary trolley rides throughout Kaimuki from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Live entertainment from beloved community and keiki groups as well as well-known professional performers including Da Brewz, Elijah Sky, and Kaleikaumaka

Enjoy all of the tree-mendous festivities happening during Keep it Kaimuki Saturday including the highly anticipated virtual Christmas tree lighting and concert at Puʻu O Kaimuki Mini Park. The tree lighting and concert will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to sundown, marking the start of the holiday season. Keep it Kaimuki Saturday is a free, family-friendly community event in Kaimuki’s business district held annually on Small Business Saturday. In addition to in-store offers at participating businesses, Keep it Kaimuki Saturday is the focus all month long on the group’s social media channels — offering followers a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite neighborhood shops and restaurants. Keep it Kaimuki will also release new seasonal merchandise including tees, mugs, stickers, and pins bearing the iconic Keep it Kaimuki design that will be available to order on
