Product review: CBD Living sparkling water

I’m sure many of you experienced major disruptions in your sleep patterns when the coronavirus pandemic hit its stride and everyone was ordered to shelter in place. All of the stress of our personal and global economic situations, with no definitive end in sight, has taken quite a toll on so many of us.

At first, I found myself waking up at 3 or 4 a.m. I wasn’t tired, I was fully alert, and I would work a full day at warp speed as many of us communications pros are doing now. Lately, I’m waking up at about 7 a.m., but there are a few days where I wake up exhausted — which means that I didn’t sleep all the way through the night.

CBD Living’s new sparkling water drinks.

CBD Living recently sent me a set of their new sparkling water drinks to try, I assume because the pandemic has sparked interest in the need to relax. Now, I want to be clear, these drinks aren’t sleep aids — they’re made to help calm you. But I figured, if I could add a mild, extra element of relaxation to my sleep routine, it might help with my well-being overall.

The first two times I drank it before bed, I woke up a little groggy. The second two times, I woke up refreshed and was able to go through the day feeling perfect. I BELIEVE the drink helped me to sleep all the way through the night each time; however, the difference was that with he first two times, I forced myself awake with an alarm, whereas the second two times, I allowed myself to wake up when my body was ready.

My favorite ended up being Peach Honey.

After I tried all four, I could easily tell you my favorite flavors. Far and away, Peach Honey was my favorite. It was mellow and easy to drink, and very well balanced. Orange Grapefruit was second, and Strawberry Lavender was third for my palate. But their Apple Ginger is not even a flavor I would drink again. You could get the essence of fruit flavors in the others, but this one tasted very artificial.

One thing you might note if you’re concerned about the ingredients: Each flavor contains 25 mg of CBD, but is also vegan, gluten-free, sugar free and certified Kosher, and contains absolutely zero THC.

Not bad, right? I felt like I could drink this at night, guilt-free.

Would I get this product again? Probably! Well, I would get the Peach Honey again, anyway.

You can get this online, but for my Hawaii readers, you can CBD Living throughout the state. On Oahu, you can find it at several stores, including Vim & Vigor, Egan’s Boot Camp, CryoTherapy, Sensually Yours and more. Prices may vary, but online, one can is $4.99 and a sampler pack of four cans is $19.96.
